- Q) Is there a way to copy my answers from Matlab past them directly in to WebWork?
- A) Yes, highlight with mouse; CTRL+c to copy; CTRL+v to paste.
- Q) [HW1] on problem 2 how many decimal places should we round to?
- A) Don't round the "exact" and "error" computation, as webwork checks
that the first 5-6 digits are correct. It'll never penalize you
for pasting in 15 digits.
- Q) My version of matlab is approximating numbers to 4 decimal places, is that enough or do I need to change that somehow?
- A) Although all computations are done with 15 digit precision, by
default matlab will only show a few digits. To see them all, say
"format long" before you start computing.
- Q) I was just wondering if I need to fill in all of the blanks before submitting answers. For example if I only put in an answer to a) and I hit submit answers will it count parts b and on being blank as an attempt?
- A) Yes, webwork will mark an empty box as an incorrect answer and
count it as an attempt.
- Q) I am having difficulties logging into webwork.sdsu.edu. I saw your lecture notes on how to log in and it stated that its my last name + intial of first name and my pw is my red id, that didnt work for me, and ive tried other variations such as:
- A) It's *just* your Lastname, unless there are multiple students with
the same Lastname; this time around the students with lastnames
Nguyen and Welch should add their First initinal.
- Q) I added the class late (with an add code), and I cannot log in to webwork.
- A) Accounts will be added manully starting after class on Tuesday Sept 4th. If you cannot log in by the afternoon, send Peter an email.
